The Sugarloaf Sessions is an immersive music learning experience created by Tim Doyle and Rachel Duffy. It’s designed for traditional Irish musicians who want to learn, connect, and improve their skills through digital and optional physical events.
The Sugarloaf Sessions flagship festival will take place April 24-26, 2026, in Bray, Co. Wicklow. https://bray.ie/
This event is for traditional Irish musicians at Improver, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Please note that festival attendance is for individuals aged 18 and over.

Your Sugarloaf Sessions Experience subscription
Subscription to The Sugarloaf Sessions Experience costs €9.99 per month, payable through the TuneClub App.
You will receive monthly tune drops, links to online meet-ups and details about sessions taking place in Bray venues. You can start learning, practicing, and connecting with other subscribers and tutors.
The app provides you with tailored lessons, tutorials, and community groups. You’ll be able to engage with tutors, connect with fellow attendees, and earn TuneClub Points along the way.

The Flagship Sugarlaof Sessions Festival
The entire weekend, including the opening concert, workshops, sessions, musical & historical walk and the closing sessions costs €199.99 - early bird price, available until March 1st, 2026 - or thereafter €249.00 - full price.
Live workshops are designed to help you build on what you’ve been practicing, with hands-on guidance from our expert tutors in group settings.
As you engage in the app—completing lessons, interacting with tutors, and connecting with others—you’ll earn TuneClub Points, which you can redeem for experience or festival perks and more!
In the evenings, the festival comes alive with sessions! Sessions are a chance for everyone to connect, play, and put into practice everything they’ve learned. Sessions will take place at various venues throughout Bray, exact details will be communicated closer to the festival.
Bring your instrument and any personal practice materials. Walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothes for an outdoor walk. Comfortable clothes and an open mind are also recommended!

Practicalities for the Festival
Lunch will be provided on Saturday during the Workshops. Other meals are not included.

The Sugarloaf Sessions Festival is designed as a full, immersive experience, so we encourage attendees to join for the entire event to get the most out of it.
Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable. If you can no longer attend, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to facilitate a transfer. If there’s demand, we’ll assist in connecting you with others who are looking for tickets.
Transportation and Access for the Festival
Bray is well-connected by public transport and road, making it easy for attendees to reach the venues.
If you're driving, Bray lies along the M11 motorway corridor, with an interchange linking to the M50 Dublin bypass. Please note that there is a Restricted/Pay Parking system in operation throughout the town, with various parking zones and 'Pay & Display' machines available. Parking at Colaiste Raithin is free.
There are charging points located nearby for those with electric cars.
Bray is well-connected by public transport. It is accessible via the DART Rail Network and Iarnród Éireann rail network. Several bus companies also serve Bray, including Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Bus Éireann, and Aircoach.
The nearest major airport is Dublin Airport, which is about an hour away from Bray. From the airport, you can take a bus or taxi directly to Bray or travel into Dublin city center and then transfer to the DART or bus services.
After the Festival
Yes! The Sugarloaf Sessions Experience is a year-round experience that runs independently of the festival. Tune drops, online meet-ups, and sessions in Bray will continue post-festival.
